Kamouraska

Kamouraska Etude Nylon-String Used

$379

Rare, and very nice! The Kamouraska line was a Quebec line from the late 70s-early 80s from La Patrie, though the connections to modern La Patrie / Godin are somewhat uncertain (see below). Solid spruce top with a very light wood back with great looking grain. The guitar has had a fresh Cask setup and is playing really nicely. In amazing cosmetic condition for its age, too. Only a couple of tiny dings.

Winner.

Another listing we found states the following:

"This guitar was made by the Butcher Brothers in La Patrie Quebec. It was the predessor of the Godin line of Lapatrie guitars, just a much finer version. The Butcher's guitar factory burned down in 81 and they did not have the financing to rebuild so entered Robert Godin who purchased the remains of the company and then started Godin Guitars, Seagull, Norman, Simon & Patrick, and La Patrie."
