Framus Texan Vintage Dreadnaught

From the heart of Bavaria! This is a 1969 Framus 5/196 Texan Dreadnaught. Some wonderful features. Arched back, big, adjustable saddle decorative moustache bridge. Thin, multi-ply neck with bolt-on joint. Nice Western-style sunburst finish, and great grain on the back. 

Fantastic structural condition with plenty of fret life. Braces intact and no dip in the top. Lots of cosmetic wear, small chips and a bit of finish worn off by the soundhole, and some light paint splatter or something like that on the lower bout. One tuner button has been replaced but is fully functional. 

Brilliant instrument, a great player with a lot of character.
