Fender 1957 Duo-sonic Used

Absolute stunner. Nearly 70 years old, this Duosonic has enjoyed a rich life, and boasts very few eccentricities. Pickups, Stackpole tone pot and switch are original, as is much of the wiring. Volume pot ( CTS 1982), one capacitor, and a few lengths of wire have been changed - see pictures. The guitar has been refinished in Desert Sand, but we understand this is the Fender period-correct car paint, and the job is clean, though it does mask the neck pocket. Neck is in great shape with some very lovely lacquer deterioration. on the treble side, upper fret area. Plenty of remaining fret life. Playability is excellent, nice setup with very minimal buzz and no problems at all. Electronics are working perfectly.

Original case is included and in good shape. The latches latch (though no longer springy).

Own an incredible and beautiful piece of history. This beauty won't last long.
