The Nord Modular G2 is a super powerful 37-key modular synthesizer with combined computer editing software and hardware keyboard format, with modular access to the sound architecture. Original Nord Modular was available from 1998-2004, after which it was replaced with this G2 model.

The G2 offers provides a library of modules, including oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs, effects, and more, giving users a vast array of sound shaping options. It includes a dedicated software editor that allowed users to design and edit patches on a computer, providing a user-friendly interface for patch creation and management. Numerous modulation sources and destinations are available, facilitating intricate modulation routings and dynamic sound modulation. It supports multitimbral operation, enabling the creation of complex layered sounds and the ability to control multiple parts or voices simultaneously. The G2 includes a range of high-quality built-in effects like reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, and more, enhancing the sound with customizable processing. Its MIDI connectivity is significantly updated from the original, with 16 MIDI channels via MIDI In, Out and Thru - Note On/Off, Aftertouch, Pitch Bend, Program Change, MIDI CC# (freely assignable to any parameter), SysEx dump and Bank Select.
